Your Donation is important

An effective protection of animals can only be ensured through strict legal bases, consistent enforcement, and a comprehensive public education. Our wide range of – mostly cost-free – services are not only aimed at official bodies and the public, but are especially meant to help animals. TIR is subject to the supervision of the federal supervisory board for foundations, which monitors our foundation with regard to the efficient use of all resources and audits our annual financial statement every year.

TIR does not receive any form of subsidies from the federal government and the cantons. All our activities are funded by donations and project-specific contributions only. It goes without saying that we guarantee utmost diligence and effective use of your donations. Also, neither loans nor mortgages are used to finance TIR.

Saves taxes with a donation to TIR

Donations to TIR are tax-deductible. You can find more information on cantonal tax exemption here. The foundation itself is exempt from inheritance and gift taxes.

Thank-you letter/Donation certificate

For donations starting from CHF 100.-, we write a personal thank-you letter. All donors also receive a certificate for their tax declaration every year (at the end of February) with a total annual donation amount.
